Jos, Aug. 11, 2015 (NAN) An individual from the Special Task Force (STF), and five different persons, were assaulted by shooters in Barkin Ladi Local Government of Plateau on Tuesday.
Capt. Ikedichi Iweha, STF representative, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), that the assault happened toward the evening at Bisich town in Barkin Ladi.
Iweha said the casualties supported wounds however were not life debilitating, adding that they were reacting to treatment.
``As for the trooper who managed gunfire wounds, it is one of the costs we pay throughout guaranteeing that there is peace'', he said.
The STF Media Officer said the peace in the range was punctured when the bodies of two persons announced missing were later found.
``This came about into assaults and responses prompting the obstructing of street at the Bisich region.
He said with the fast reaction by the men of the STF, the circumstance was brought under control and drivers had begun handling the street.
